Monthly bookkeeping includes reviewing and categorizing business transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, reviewing the books for missing, duplicate, unusual, or unclear activity, and providing a Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet after the monthly bookkeeping is complete.

Yes. Bookkeeping cleanup is available for businesses whose books are months or years behind or need significant organization. I review existing records, identify and correct problems, reconcile accounts, and bring prior periods up to date. The goal is to give you an organized, reliable starting point for ongoing monthly bookkeeping with Carmody Bookkeeping or for managing your books in-house.

No. If you're new to QuickBooks Online, I can help you determine which subscription is appropriate for your business and assist with setting up your account. If you already use QuickBooks Online, I can work with your existing account. QuickBooks Online subscription fees are paid separately by the client and are not included in Carmody Bookkeeping's service fees.

Yes. QuickBooks Online setup is available as a stand-alone service or as part of getting started with monthly bookkeeping. Setup may include creating or reviewing your chart of accounts, connecting bank and credit card accounts, establishing appropriate categories, and setting up QuickBooks Online to meet the bookkeeping needs of your business. I can also show you how to use the features and processes established during setup.

Yes. With your authorization, I can work with your CPA or tax professional to provide the financial reports and bookkeeping information they need. Keeping your books organized and up to date throughout the year can also make the tax preparation process more efficient.

The free initial consultation is an opportunity to discuss your business, your current bookkeeping situation, and what you need help with. I’ll ask questions about how your books are currently being handled, the systems you use, and any particular concerns or challenges you have.
